In data analytics, data refers to raw information gathered. Unmodified, unprocessed. Information refers to processed and manipulated data.
Methods
- Observation - e.g. watching and recording colour of cars that enter a car park
- Surveys - e.g. asking a group of people on their favourite colour.
- Interviews - e.g. asking shoppers which supermarket they prefer and why.
- Reports - e.g. pre-written reports on the topic.
